THE HIKE:
On Nov 20, 2015 Shawnee too I hiked v of the Hyde Park trails too earned a patch.  On November 20, 2017, Brodie too I hiked 2 of the Hyde Park Walkabout Trails too needed 3 to a greater extent than to to consummate all 10 trails too earn our minute patch.  That was our mission on this day.

For such a modest park, the trails are incredibly difficult to find.  For lack of anything better, nosotros went upwards the steps from the parking lot towards the recreation office.  I knew nosotros had to hike the perimeter trails (red too green) but where the heck were they?

Just every bit nosotros got to the exceed of the steps a commons maintenance human pulled inward too he directed us across the disc golf game course of written report towards the woods parallel to the road.

And in that place is the trail, but non at all visible from the parking lot.

The trails are quite hilly too rugged.

There are practiced directional signs at each intersection.

At the halt of red, turning left on the light-green Woodland Trail.

We left the Hyde Park Trail, which follows the dark-green common trail, to hike the yellowish trail because we'd hitting that business office of the Hyde Park Trail on our furnish route.

... on a gravel route all along the Hudson River.

At the halt of the gravel road, nosotros turned left towards Bard Rock.

Yay - trash in addition to recycling thence I could unload the litter I had picked upwards that Brodie was hauling inwards his pack.

Continuing on to the right.

There genuinely wasn't a trail at all in addition to I was surprised 1 time nosotros made our agency dorsum to the Hyde Park Trail that I had genuinely followed the exact rails on the app.
